but he'd rather have drugs. i'm so disappointed in the former cowboys starting quarterback, quincy carter. he threw away a pretty nice life for a temporary high. i really don't understand people who do drugs. i suppose it's because i'm just happy being high on life.

if you're not familiar with the south, especially texas... football is king here. whenever something happens to a cowboy the world stops turning, and the news stops reporting anything but cowboy news. i remember when i first moved here and emmitt smith got in a very minor traffic accident. tv programming was stopped for a breaking news report. so you can imagine, we are going to here a lot about quincy for the next few weeks. probably more than he even wants us to hear. the big issue now is trying to find out what he tested positive for. there are rumors of cocaine or marijuana. i don't care what it was, it was a pretty stupid thing to do.

supposedly the pressures of the job and depression made him turn to drugs. okay, a black man living in alabama working a minimum wage job with kids to feed -- that's pressure. playing a game... that's not pressure. sorry, i just can't see it. quincy had the world on a platter and just junked it in the garbage.

then, get this! on the radio this morning they were basically defending him saying that you can't judge him. excuse me?! are we still on planet earth? i know it's wrong, and nobody but god can truly judge you. but as humans we are going to make our own opinions about it. and this is mine. it's illegal and it's against the nfl rules so he should go. if i tested positive for drugs at my job, do you think they'd hesitate to fire me?

so, shame on you quincy. i hope you get some help, recover and maybe even have a career in the near future. but until then you've let a lot of people down.
