not the jerk of a boss who waited six weeks to give me my review and raise but his boss who is head of the entire (20-person) organization. anyway, we have a staff meeting this morning and she states that we are not having the company come in who gives us flu shots for free every year due to the whole shortage. and then she says but if you go stand in line at cvs or walgreens and get one, i'll reimburse you and you'll get a half a day off work with pay. then shortly after that statement she said if you need to come in late to work on nov. 2nd to vote, do so, it's important we vote this year. i'm kind of putting two and two together that she doesn't like bush too much. but maybe i'm overanalyzing like i normally do.
i'd really like some time off work, but i have never taken the flu shot, and i've never had the flu (praise god, fingers crossed).
just realized something — since bush has been in office we've lost many lives (american and foreign), jobs and have a flu shot shortage. the things that puzzle me ...

I think the whole flu thing is a conspiracy. Bush is trying to get us all too sick for us to go vote for Kerry. I'm sure he's been secretly hiding vaccines for months now and distributing them to NRA groups, members of the 700 club, and every other ultra-conservative right-wing nut job organization. The rest of us will be at home -- coughing up a lung.
But this is just a theory. :)

I don't see you standing in line for a flu shot. Especially since you should be worried about West Nile.
