my immediate boss is not a bush supporter. not the flu shot boss, but the boss who gave me my review two months late and then made a big deal about giving me the retro-pay (that i rightfully deserved) after stating to me for weeks not to worry about my review being late that i would be given the back-pay, no problem.

but i digress.

he doesn't like dubya (as we call him in texas, that 'w' for you northerners :-) ) and he's got this picture of him on his door. he's drawn some devil horns in on the picture in red ink. now, no matter how you feel about bush, for now, he is our president and should be respected as such. and satan? that's a little harsh, i think.

what say you?

The devil horns on the picture are childish but there is some truth to them. We are talking about a man who started a war that has resulted in the death of over a thousand American soldiers and thousands upon thousands of Iraqi soldiers and citizens.

Except for the paycheck thing, he sounds like a brilliant man!

A man who leads us into war based on misrepresentations and at the cost of 1000s of US and Iraqi lives deserves more than pen devil horns.

Actually, the incident raises a larger question - can one side or the other side claim to represent the exclusively Christian view?

Those who draw devil horns on Bush pictures can assert that he is not representing Christ's admonitions to turn the other cheek, feed the hungry, take care of the poor, etc.

Those who draw devil horns on Kerry pictures can assert that he promotes numerous violations of the Ten Commandments, including sexual sins, murder, ad nauseum.

I am so thankful that my God is not bound by our silly insignificant political controversies.
