have you ever seen that movie "regarding henry?" it stars harrison ford. basically his character suffers an severe injury due to being shot and after recovery he has lost most of his memory. so he doesn't understand things that we take for granted, like "get outta here." when we say that (most of the time) we don't mean it literally. well one of the terms he learns is "when." his housekeeper teaches him when he's had enough (like enough coffee poured into a cup) to just say when.
well on dec. 22, i said when. i worked for a non profit high iq society. while it had its perks, like people assuming i was a genius, the office was a horrible and toxic atmosphere. plus the money wasn't all that great. some of you may be wondering what the heck i took the job for if the money wasn't that great. well, i ran into this job after being laid off from a previous one. it was bascially an administrative job that i took to make some money so i could eat, and it just lasted a little too long. i've had enough!
so, i went searching for a new job a few months ago, and i strongly feel that this new place will be a career, not a job. so beginning on dec. 27, i will be a marketing technical copywriter.
look out hi-tech world, here i come!
