today i received my sbc yahoo! dsl set-up package. whoo hoo! no more slow dial-up for me. i'm addicted to hi-speed now. i know you all think this is sad because i should have had a hi-speed connection by now, but i know i'm not the last person off the dial-up system. so i suppose i can take some solace in that!

I was in St Louis on business last week at the Adams Mark hotel, which does not offer high speed. My employer has an 800 number which you can dial up to get e-mail and the like; during the entire week, I used dial up exactly once (and even that was painful, since the line speed was 19.2 for some reason).
