i rarely get to spend any time on blogger anymore.
things that have been going on in my life:
-i'm completely buried in my research project. i never thought i'd enjoy research so much. i guess it's all in the topic you choose. i'm completely motivated and impassioned!
-the wedding is 50 days away. i'm excited, overwhelmed, and ready to get to the part about the honeymoon. :-) hey, you'd be ready to if you were marrying gorgeous.
-this lead free/rohs deal at work is beating me down.
-so did anyone catch medium or lost this week? both very different but very good shows.
-while i do'nt think jurors should conduct a bible study while deliberating, i think it'd be difficult to keep religion out of a trial if religious people were on the jury. for me, religion is part of my make up and values, so they are going to be a part of any decision i make by default. maybe some are more talented than me in that they can separate their beliefs from other things, but i can't. part of my beliefs is what makes me show up for jury duty in the first place because i never want to do it.
-which brings me to another thought. this guy at my mom's job doesn't believe he needs to go to church, fine. and he doesn't believe christianity does any good, fine. but the thing that bothers me is people who are so anti-christian seem to value qualities in others that are christian-based. to me, if you're not going to practice religion, fine. but realize that the world is a better place because of it. a lot of people think of killing, stealing, or worse, but decide against it because of their christian beliefs. for some, i think christianity is very important. it's not like doing drugs, which some people tend to liken it to. and that is disgusting and offensive.
well, those are my rants for today. more later ... i hope!
